After meeting at an art show, becoming husband and wife, Yvette Renée & Mark Cowden decided to combine their artistic talents and strengths into what is now known as Diamond Studio. They are both award winning artists and have a combined 40 plus years of experience.  Located in Hendersonville Tennessee, Diamond Studio is a full service fine art studio specializing in the creation of large scale paintings, stained glass, mosaic and public art installations. Recent clients include Nashville’s Hotel Indigo, Kroger, German Town City Mural and Mosaics for the City of Hendersonville & Parks and Recreation.

Yvette Renée 

A native of Nashville, she began to draw, write and paint at age 13. At the age of 19, she moved to South Florida to pursue her art.  Her design and creative experience in South Florida includes set design and production assistant for performance artists leading to co-designing and construction of metal sculptures. Her client list includes but not limited to  Giorgio Armani ( 16 ft aluminum wings for models to wear on the cover of Emporio Armani) , Prince’s Glam Slam night club ( the dance floor and interior decor) and Gloria & Emilio Estefan( entry gates to their home).  She moved back to Nashville and graduated from Watkins College of Art and Design with a degree in Fine Art and continued studio art classes at MTSU.  Exploring various mediums lead her to being a stained glass apprentice for Paul G. Crommelin for 3 years and eventually becoming a stained glass artist as well as an abstract painter combining both mediums. Her more recent client list includes Kathy Mattea ( painted backdrops for her “Rose” tour) , Jenai, songwriter for Sara Evans (several large scale stained glass & oil paintings) The Mary Parrish Center (large scale painting) , Akiva Synagogue (mosaic Tree of Life with Midot) and Marty Stuart & Connie Smith ( large stained glass windows for their home). She is the Co-founder and served as Executive Director of Full Circle Art from 2003-2008. FCA served as an outlet for 25 plus artists to exhibit and sell their art. Yvette also has a passion for Community and Public Art with her first Art in Public Spaces sculpture design of a Lotus debut in the City of Miami’s Allen Morris Brickell Park. She is still active in her community and has served on the Executive Board for the Williamson County Cultural Arts Commission for 5 years, responsible for the public Gallery in Franklin City Hall while serving as an art Juror for the city. She is currently an award winning Teaching Artist for Borderless Arts Tennessee and has completed over 30 Artist Residencies throughout the State of Tennessee as well as International Art Exchange programs.  Teaching children and adults the skills to enable them to express themselves through art is one of her passions and a way for her to share and to give back to the community. 

Mark Cowden

Born and raised in Nashville TN, Mark has been creating art for over 20 years. He spent two years studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received a BFA from the University of Tennessee in 1994. Mark began working and studying with some of Nashville’s top creatives such as Buddy Jackson (Jackson Design) and Bill Barnes (Barnes & Company), both of whom are accomplished fine artists. Mark has also worked as a designer and creative director in the publishing idustry, and is a 5 time ADDY award winner for his excellent design skills. His years spent in developing and refining his creative talents lead to pursueing fine art full time in 2005. He has exhibited in fine art festivals throughout the Southeast, and continues to build new relationships in the creative field in Middle Tennessee.
